Overview:
In 8th century Scandinavia, the Danish kingdoms are under threat from Charlemagne, King of the Franks. In a desperate attempt to strengthen their position, Sigfred, King of the Danes, marries his eldest son off to the daughter of a wealthy Norwegian family. However, when his other son falls in love with the same woman their relationship is put to the ultimate test.
