Overview:
At the start of a new year in a rapidly changing Singapore, an ageing provision shop owner clings to the quiet repetition of his daily routine. When he’s asked to close his traditional shop for redevelopment plans, it leaves him wondering where he still fits in a city advancing ever ahead. Meanwhile, his estranged daughter, on the cusp of turning 30, sees the new year as her chance to begin a life abroad.
