For A Day Like Today
Following the death of her husband, Dan, in November of 2010, Suzanne Frisse Lathrop converts her Facebook into a public diary, housing her grief in magical and unexpected ways. A ritual throughout her week, Suzanne photographs the sky and shares photos containing strange spherical aberrations which she calls "orbs." For A Day Like Today confronts American attitudes surrounding grief all the while inviting audiences to reflect on how and where they see those they have lost.
Orb of Night
Sean, is a lonely old man who continuously visits the "Orb Of Night", a place in the near-future where men pay to cuddle with beautiful sleeping women. In his stay, he waits with desire for the moon to go down so he can contemplate the subtle young beauty of his new companion Runa. Each night, Sean will get more obsessed and intimate with the young girl, until his love and desires for her will make him break the rules of the place in hope of something more.
