Won in a Closet
Moving Picture World categorized the film as “a nonsense number”, but Normand's Won in a Closet, her second as director, displays her burgeoning talent. Mabel’s father, the country constable, is smitten with the mother of the boy Mabel imagines “her ideal”. The young couple’s romance is disrupted first by two rival “cut-ups” and then by misapprehension that a tramp is hiding in a closet at the mother’s home. In reality, the mother herself takes refuge in the closet to escape the constable’s attentions.

Sylvester makes several unsuccessful attempts to pass the dogs and reach Tweety inside Granny's house.

Her fiancé finds not only Mabel, but also her mother, very displeased, and not inclined to believe his explanation.
Monsieur Beaucaire, the Adventures of a Gentleman of France
Monsieur Beaucaire, a French nobleman & relative of the King, engages in a sword fight with the jealous Duke of Winterset over a card game, leading to a kidnapping attempt on the woman Beaucaire loves, Lady Mary Somerset, forcing Beaucaire to fight valiantly, get imprisoned, and then escape in disguise to stop the Duke from marrying Lady Mary, culminating in him revealing himself as the officiant during the wedding ceremony!

A Glimpse of the San Diego Exposition
In 1915-16, San Diego's Balboa Park was the scene of an exposition to mark completion of the Panama Canal. This film takes us through the exposition: from the Cabrillo bridge and a panoramic view of the site, to the facades of the California Building, Horticultural Building, Panama Canal Exhibit, and the reproduction of the locks at Gatuna. We see tourists on the isthmus and a crowd outside the Panama Film Company's exhibit of how movies are made. We watch the feeding of fish at the laguna, and we end at the Plaza de Panama where toddlers are surrounded by pigeons. Fatty Arbuckle makes a brief appearance outside the Panama Film exhibit. Titles give us each structure's cost.
