Real testimonials from five Latin American immigrants who share their experiences and challenges, recounting what it has been like to build a new life in Brazil from their different perspectives in the city of Foz do Iguaçu. Individual experiences are revealed and reflect on belonging, identity, and the constant reinvention of those who cross territories in search of new opportunities.
Taamaden
Bakary, a young man from Mali, sits on a rock in a lake and pours a small packet of milk over his head and body. He then takes an egg, looks at it carefully and says “Monday”, after which he breaks it and drops the yolk into the water. He repeats this several times. Having followed all his marabout’s instructions to the letter, his next crossing should now be successful.
The Silent Run
Sara and Adam, and their two-year-old daughter, arrive in Belgium illegally, hoping to finally make their way on to England. Crammed together with other hopefuls in the back of a van, fear begins to prevail. Redouane has been a policeman for 20 years. Every night, he and his team hunt down smugglers throughout the busy motorway network. That night, when he and his partner try to force a van suspected of transporting migrants to stop, everything changes.

'Migrating Fears' is a docu-drama on the sentiments around migration, both from the side of the refugees and asylum-seekers as well as from the perspective of these segments of society that appear hesitant towards migration. Trying to understand 'migrating fears', the film follows Solon Solomon, a law professor, in his London quests and interactions with refugees, politicians and psychologists, as he comes to see the fear in the refugees' eyes and the worries of the locals, ultimately creating dialogues between the two groups.

Their goal: to seek, find and return to their families the bodies of migrants who died while crossing on foot. This all-consuming calling takes a crushing toll on them, but how could they stop?
