Since 2013, the Casual Gabberz collective has been storming dancefloors and the stages of the biggest festivals with its gabber surge, that hardcore techno sound born in Holland in the 90s. Until a virus causes the planet to go haywire. And triggered an existential crisis within the collective.
Rosalinda
Jelle lives with his father, an old-fashioned organ grinder. Standing in the street, they earn a living grinding the organ Rosalinda, an honest but tedious existence. Adolescent Jelle's loyalty is put to the test when his gabber-house friends expect him at a big dance party that coincides with shopping night, which is important for his father's income. Jelle is faced with the impossible choice between his dad and his friends.
Gabbers!
A documentary about the gabber music scene. It includes images from the 1995 loladamusic's gabber documentary and interviews with former gabbers in their forties who tell us their experiences in the clubs, with the drugs and fashion.
The New Gabbers
In "The New Gabbers" we follow three young gabbers in the run-up to hardcore festival Ground Zero in the Netherlands. The documentary paints a picture of the lively hardcore subculture through the personal stories of these 'new gabbers'.
Bald Terror
A pseudo-documentary follows an unnamed raver obsessed with the extreme sub-genre "gabber," as he drifts through his lonely day by day, far from home and far from his culture.
