Waiting for Godot

“[…] ‘There are several common notions surrounding *Waiting for Godot*. It is often described as an absurd text, but to me, it seems lucid and coherent; what it seeks to convey is that human beings are absurd—irrational, eccentric, contradictory, arbitrary, and nonsensical. For Sanzol, humor is one of the fundamental elements of *Waiting for Godot*. ‘It is one of the reasons I wanted to stage this play. Deviant Subculture

Synopsis Sub Budaya Menyimpang (Sirkus Koboi Absurd) is an experimental absurdist crime short film that explores the hidden world of a deviant subculture operating beyond society's moral boundaries. Through surreal imagery, dark humor, and fragmented storytelling, the film follows Ton*** as he becomes entangled in a bizarre network ruled by a mysterious Faceless Boss and enforced by a ruthless Mafia figure. Blurring the line between reality and performance, the film presents its criminal underworld as a twisted circus, where violence, loyalty, and identity become theatrical acts. Rather than offering conventional answers, Sub Budaya Menyimpang invites viewers to interpret its symbolism, questioning the nature of power, conformity, and the absurdity of human behavior within marginalized communities.
